A Note from Brook: On Finally Having a Website

A personal note from Brook on launching his first website — and a thank you to the designer who made it happen.

I've been a professional musician for over twenty years. I've performed at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and concert halls across four continents. I have a Grammy nomination. And until now, I've never had my own website.

There's something both embarrassing and strangely freeing about admitting that. For a long time I told myself it wasn't necessary — that the music spoke for itself, that presenters and colleagues knew how to find me, that social media was enough. None of that was entirely wrong. But it was incomplete.

This site is the result of a conversation I had with Henry, who had a clear and immediate sense of what the site should feel like — not just look like. The photographs from my recent shoot, the palette, the typography, the way the concert dates sit on the page — all of it came together in a way I genuinely didn't expect. I'm proud of it.

If you're here, thank you for being here. Whether you found this site through a concert program, a friend's recommendation, or a late-night search, I hope it gives you a sense of who I am and what I do. And I hope to see you at a concert soon.
